Special note about delivery estimates on taxidermy mounts:

I understand customers are anxious to receive their pieces because of the long wait. But please bear in mind that there are only a handful of taxidermists in the world creating the type of taxidermy I create, therefore I have a lot of orders to deal with. Also know that taxidermy is a lengthy process and the average taxidermist is backlogged for a year if not longer. Because of the large number of orders I deal with, I ask that customers do not contact me for periodic updates unless they need to make changes to their order. This is standard practice with all taxidermists. My email load is extremely heavy and I cannot afford to cut into my studio time with additional correspondence - the more time I spend on the computer, the less time I can spend completing my projects. So to keep projects on schedule, I ask that customers do not continually check in with me. I do not email customers with periodic updates either for the same reason. I contact the customer when I begin work on their project. Until that time there is nothing to give an update on. If you haven't heard from me within 2 weeks of the END of your delivery window, then please email me so I can firm up your delivery date.
